Summertime sensations....you know what I am talking about...the things that make summer so great...the things that make summer..well, summer. Like eating an ice cream cone as it drips from the summer heat melting it. Walking around a carnival with that pink sugary, cottony, stuff that melts in your mouth and not from the sun. Laying out in the sun as you can feel yourself burning like bread in a toaster but you don't care because you like your body how you like your toast, a little on the brown side :).Well I discovered summertime sensations that I didn't quite knew existed.
Sushi! Now I am not talking about the amazing occasion where you save up your money and you and your fabulous husband go on a special night out and get expensive sushi. I am talking about when you are driving in your car with your little sister and cousin and you have all intentions of going chili's until spur of the moment at 4:35 in the daytime you turn the car around and spontaneously decide to go to sushi. See on a normal occasion this couldn't happen but because of Kate's extra time to do summertime chores and Caroline's extra time to have a summertime job...we had money and we wanted to go crazy! Which we did! We spent two and a half hours stuffing our faces until we literally couldn't eat anymore. We even got tempted to throw the last roll of sushi in the decorated tree behind us so we wouldn't get charged for leftovers. We didn't but I sure was full enough that I wanted to.
Ok for the best summertime sensation at all! Going tubing in the rain! The wind is cold so the water on your feet seems so warm. The choppy waters gives you that intense feel, almost on the dangerous side but still laughing and screaming. I wanted to do it all day but my arms only allowed me to last for a couple of hours before staying on became life or death. For those couple of hours it was just me, my amazing tube buddy, the wake and the large waves. No work, no stress, no cleaning, no bills to pay...just one focus...staying on the tube! Tons of screams, tons of laughs, tons of thrills...now that is my type of summertime sensation!
