Waiting....

My heart grew a little sadder, came to realization, and felt extremely blessed today when I found out a guy at my work whom I have always been great friends with and found adorable lost his virginity to a girl he wasn't even dating, he just graduated from high school. When I was a recent graduate from high school I was worrying about college, the immaturity of boys, extremely, the overwelming changes...I can't imagine having to worry about STD's and pregnancy too. But that is just the beginning. What happened to waiting till marriage? What happened to waiting till you love someone? I am not talking about the kind of "love" when you find someone attractive and you have good chemistry...if that were what love was I would've experienced it a trillion times in my life. I am not talking about something you would find on the bachelorette. I am talking about when you put all looks aside, you commit yourself to that person for forever, you will do anything for them(I am not talking about tattooing her name on your body), you will take the good and the bad, and you will become completely selfless. When you have that kind of relationship with someone sex becomes something so close, real, and intimate!
I had several conversations with this guy about having sex before marriage. He told me he had thought about it. I told him he would regret it but mostly he would be taking something very special away from his future wife, something he could never get back.
I am SO grateful that it was impounded in my head at a young age how SPECIAL sex is! I am so glad I waited for my husband! Thank goodness for the the strength to stop when I was dating other guys, it was hard...sometimes nearly impossible....but SO WORTH IT!!!

Some great examples of love :) (hope you don't mind me stealing some pictures)

"I've been beaten down, I've been kicked around but she takes it all for me. and I lost my faith in my darkest days but she makes me want to believe."

Andrea

The short haired Heartthrob! She had sent her missionaries out...was ready to serve a mission herself and then BAM she is engaged to PAX...only Drea would marry someone with a name that cool....and she is always full of surprises. She likes to doodle and she is very good at it. She also is into html and computer design. She is a nerd :)

Stephanie

She is the redhead bombshell! She recently got married to someone who seems to be alot like her, Jeremiah Fox. Us gooseberries were always jealous of the lemonheads because they were older and wiser than us...not to mention HOTTER! I always knew of stephanie playing in the band. Stephanie is our band nerd :)

Whitney

Whitney, also known as "Sandra" in our family,
Is going to BYU, living at home and recently just sent her boy off on a mission. I will always remember Whit as being the little girl that kissed my brother on the swing set :)!Whitney is always smiling and is always so sweet and happy! She loves to ballroom dance!

Jessica

Jessica recently married Kevin, the Las Vegas boy! Which was pretty funny because Jessica is totally the Utah girl :)! She goes to BYU, works at Center for change and Loves Hummers!

Donna

She is only 16 but since she was 12 she has been able to pass for 19 or 20....she is very mature for her age so much so that she is attending BYU already. She dreams to become a doctor at a decently young age so that she can still pursue her dream of having a family! But donna isn't all about the serious stuff...most of the time she is actually very sarcastic!

Erica

(I must speak in the 3rd person) She has a very edgy and unique style. She loves fashion, vintage, hair and makeup! She doesn't do anything the "normal" way! She is a server at Chilis and loves it(most of the time). She recently got married to the coolest guy ever, Eric Kopp! They will be sealed in the temple in Oct!

I remember when my cousins and I use to go to the summer movies together and pay 1 dollar for some popcorn, candy and a drink. Eric would make fun of me and say that I sound like our parents who talk about walking barefoot to school but I do have a point here. I also remember taking swimming lessons together, having sleepovers and staying up all night laughing, The "Nana" parties, Our Pocahontas obsession, our sugar highs, oh and not to mention the time Andrea and I were talking about her first kiss, I asked her if she slipped him the tongue and later we found out her phone called her house and the whole conversation ended up on her parents answering machine. good times. The list could go on.
Then boys came into existence, some of us gave into the temptations, and being "cool" became important. We all kinda went our separate ways. Our relationship started to consist of being acquaintances at family events. We were no longer best friends...the only thing that kept us linked was our family ties.
Besides Donna being one of my best friends in the whole world..I felt awkward and out of place when it came to our cousins. Donna and I use to make each other go to family events together. Without her I would be miserable.
Well an interesting thing happened recently. I went on a double date with the famous Whitney Thayne and I loved it! I really enjoyed her company and found myself wanting to do it again sometime. We talked about the old times and I found myself, 8 years later and married, enjoying it like the old days! Thank you Whitney, You are lovely and I love you!

Would i be out of line if I said.....I miss you!!!?

My hubby left me for 3 days for work out of town. It was a bitter sweet experience! I got to spend two whole days at my parents house. I spent a lot of time with my little sisters and then on thur I got to spend the day with my mom because she didn't have to work. It was such a treat! I think we should make it tradition this summer that I go down there once day a week and have a girls night. I had such an awesome time watching movies and shopping. I have amazing little sisters! They are such amazing examples to me! And my mom....I can't even express my feeling about my mom! I love how she stands up for me, and even though I haven't always made the best choices...she knows what is in my heart!
As for the bitter part. I think this song will express it better than I can! Enjoy :)

I miss you by Incubus:

To see you when I wake up
is a gift I didn't think could be real.
To know that you feel the same as I do
is a three-fold, utopian dream.
You do something to me that I can't explain.
So would I be out of line if I said,
I miss you.
I see your picture, I smell your skin on the empty pillow next to mine.
You have only been gone ten days, but already I'm wasting away.
I know I'll see you again
whether far or soon.
But I need you to know that I care
and I miss you.

Picture Perfect Moments

Today was one of those days you wish their was a camera capturing certain moments and faces that you want to keep close forever! I had a short and good shift at work. I got to eat lunch with Jen and Eric and was served by two of my favorite boys! Afterwards Eric and I ran some errands because we found out he is leaving town tomorrow. He bought me some twizzlers. We went to Ross. Oh and best of all when we got home he pained my toenails bright red for me :)! Who is lucky enough to have a husband who will do that? I am! And then came the interesting part....What started out to be just Eric taking a couple of photos of my immodest clothing I am going to try to sell...turned into this....ENJOY!! I know I had fun.....

The moments that weren't meant to be captured....

And when it was all done we goofed off...
